Barcelona Day 4

March 28, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Well, I’ve not managed to post much despite having free wifi access from my hotel room. Have had an easy day today with just some wandering around and a visit to a museum. Just having a little siesta before getting some food and drink before the Andorra vs England game at 9pm. I’ll get some pictures from that a little later.

Spent the last 2 days doing all the sighseeing arounf the city. Two very full days and I’ve seen to have walked miles and miles despite using the tourist bus quite a bit as well.

Lots to see and really like the place. I’ve enjoyed this city much more than a previous trip to Madrid.

Seen more than one Irish Bar as usual and ended up in one for a nice steak pie last night. Nothing like sampling authentic Spanish food !

Barcelona Day 1

March 25, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Well after a morning flight from Gatwick, I’m here in Barcelona. Quite a nice easy trip with a bus and metro ride at the end.

Had a stroll round near my hotel. I’m only about a 5 minute walk from the Sagrada Familia. Lots of people there and long queues to get in. So I’ll leave that for tomorrow.

Very quiet near my hotel which is nice but the room is a little small. Modern though and OK for the next few days.

So having a little siesta before getting something to eat and then to do the tourist thing tomorrow.

Well only a week or so before I go. Need to get myself a plan together.

Watford Away

March 2, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Well quite a long time since my last posting. And maybe some football this time rather than my plans for travel.

So Watford away tomorrow. I’m going and one of the lucky 2,000 to get a ticket. After last weeks great win over the Hammers there would be plenty who would like to go.

So looks like we have a few injury worries but is there some bluff from Pardew ? Maybe but the team can surely go into the game with confidence.

Let’s just hope we start positively again and the confidence will lead to a good performance.

Nervous as hell before the game with West Ham last week and will be the same before the game tomorrow.
